Hello everyone! I've been on-again, off-again with this blog, and I apologize; school's been pretty hectic, as I'm gearing up to take my MCAT in a few months. However, I am back for the time being, and I actually have reviews scheduled for once. I'm planning on doing a few giveaways this year, as I never seem to remember when my blogoversary is. This is my first giveaway for the year, to kick things off for 2018!
2017 was certainly the year of really good books. I didn't read a lot of 2017 releases, per se, but I've got to highlight some of my favorite reads for the year. It was really hard to narrow down, but all these books below really deeply affected me in some way (or another). I think I cried for a few of them, and others I just couldn't let them go. Especially A Conjuring of Light... Took me months to finish it!
The Cruel Prince is also on there because I read it in 2017 (though it released just a few weeks ago). The first time I've read a Holly Black book too, can you imagine? Also Neil Gaiman's American Gods was the first Gaiman book I read! I'm really behind on some of these authors.
This certainly was a great year for contemporaries - I normally don't read them, but The Hate U Give and Simon vs. were so thought-provoking. Both are must reads!
Actually, all of these are must reads. Which is why I'm doing a giveaway for one of the eleven books featured below. The giveaway will last until January 31st; US only!
Without further ado, here's the Rafflecopter for our first giveaway of 2018.

I don't read a lot of contemporary either but man! Was 2017 a good year for it! I also read Simon vs for the first time this year and I loved it so much! And THUG was amazing! Also, A Conjuring of Light was complete and utter perfection!
ReplyDeleteOut of these, I would choose The Cruel Prince by Holly Black because it sounds amazing or The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas because I need a physical copy of this book in my collection.
I would absolutely love the Cruel Prince! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win The Language of Thorns.
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much for the awesome giveaway! <3
ReplyDeleteI hope I can enter? I'm from the UK but I'll pay any extra Costs :)
I'd love Under a Painted Sky or The Valient
