Top Ten Tuesday (11) - Freebie Week aka Top Ten Books on My Wishlist

Top Ten Tuesday is a an original feature/ weekly meme that was created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new topic is presented and this week's is:

A Freebie!
So you know what that means? I come up with something original, although I don't think I've read enough to make up a unique post. But my birthday is next month, and that got me to think - What are the top non-2016 books on my wishlist? This is totally not a hint to my friends or anything. But as much as I want a lot of 2016 books, there are other books I've been dying to read, as well. Granted, these are mostly books in series I still have to finish... whoops.

Top Ten non-2016 Books on My Wishlist/To-Be-Read List

1. Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass #3) by Sarah J. Maas
I just read Crown of Midnight at the beginning of this month, and I really want to find out what happens to Celeana... excuse me, Aelin, and Dorian, and Chaol, and everyone! Plus Fae are now a thing in this series! And I learned that if there's a huge gap in between my reads, I tend to forget certain details, so hopefully I can read this soon.

2. Fairest (The Lunar Chronicles #3.5) by Marissa Meyer
I did finish The Lunar Chronicles series, except for this book. I really want to find out the backstory of Queen Levana, and why she's so twisted. Plus, The Stars Above is coming out in a week, so now's a good time as ever to read.

3. Golden Son (Red Rising Trilogy #2) by Pierce Brown
Also another book I desperately wish for because the final book of the series, Morning Star, is coming out in February. I was addicted to Red Rising. I really should catch up with my series.

4. The Wrath and the Dawn (The Wrath and the Dawn #1) by Renee Ahdieh
Everyone's been talking about how good this book is! And I'm a sucker for retellings.

5. Six of Crows (Six of Crows #1) by Leigh Bardugo
6. Siege and Storm (The Grisha #2) by Leigh Bardugo
7. Ruin and Rising (The Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo
This is the Leigh Bardugo section of my TTT. Essentially, to sum it up, Six of Crows seemed interesting, then I decided to read Shadow and Bone first, and it has become a quest of mine to read all of Leigh Bardugo's books, I suppose.

8. Candidate (The Black Mage #3) by Rachel E. Carter
I read Apprentice last year, and I do have this book on my Kindle, but it would be so nice to have the whole series in physical paperback form.

9. Kamikaze Girls by Novala Takemoto
I did read this book, and saw the movie, so this isn't really a To-Be-Read book as it is more of a book I wish I had. This story of friendship is the one story I would love to read over and over.

10.The Rest of Us Live Here by Patrick Ness
I always hear about the superhero or the 'suddenly realized she has a special ability' character, so why not the average Joe guy?

Well, that's my list! These are the books I wish I could read right now, but sadly the wallet of a college student is rather mediocre. A lot of them were the first or third book of a series.

What books are on your wishlists?

  1. Ooooh I like this idea! I still haven't read Queen of Shadows but I did read HOF and it was good. :) I just got The Wrath and the Dawn from my OTSPSecretSister and I cannot wait to read it!
