Get Up Offa That Slump: A Blogging Extravaganza 2: Bookish Things I'd Give a Kidney For

Late again... whoops.

But happy World Kidney Day guys! Remember to be aware and take care of your kidneys. And drink a ton of water! From a future doctor. Also, here is the World Kidney Day site if anyone is interested/wants to be informed on their kidneys.

Why all this talk about kidneys? Well today's blogging theme is...

Bookish Things I'd Give a Kidney For

If I had all the money in the world, I'd really like to be able to go to/have a lot of these things. A girl can dream.

The amazing merchandise at Evie Seo's store!
I absolutely love her store and I just bought two pillows actually... but these two are also part of my wishlist! I wish I could buy more often. They're all so beautiful!

A bookish mug! Specifically this bookish mug.
I have a Game of Thrones Tyrell mug, a mug from Starbucks Dubai, and a mug I've been using since I was in middle school, but no bookish mug. And I've been eyeing this in the Strand for forever.

Speaking of Strand, there has also been scarves and socks there that I wanted. Strand has everything. If only I could afford it all... Socks, scarves, and a mug? It should be winter again, because this would be the perfect trio.

And I have such good friends who noticed I have a book buying problem and placed a book ban on me. Every 20 books I read, I can get new books. But what would those books be? This is my current wishlist.

This may all be well and good, but I'm running out of space for my books in my crates! I need bookshelves! My future house must definitely have a room dedicated to books. Here are some examples.

Finally, I'm so upset I can't go this year, because while I did go to Bookcon the two years it before it moved to Chicago, I wasn't as obsessed with books as I am now. I hear Bookcon is moving back to NY next year - and this time, I want to go to BEA as well! As a bookish person more invested and versed in books, I can tell which parts of Bookcon I want to go too, and I really hope it comes back next year. This is perhaps the biggest thing I want. *donates kidney*

The woes of a college student who can't get most of this for a long time. This was fun! It only fueled my desire to get more merch from Evie Seo's store. And stop by Strand once my orgo midterm is done.
What bookish things would you give a kidney for?

  1. I love bookish mugs! They're my favourite. And everything by EvieSeo is so pretty! I'm a student too, so... :(
I'm sorry to hear about your book buying ban (and also slightly jealous because I have a problem too). Those look like really good books! I want Six of Crows really badly!
ALSO those bookcases are so beautiful I wanna cry.
    Lovely post Raisa!

  2. I love bookish things too. Raisa those socks/scarves can be found more than the Strand. I've seen them at bookstores and online retailers, so you may be able to get them. And I hear you about a book ban...I gotta stop myself too :) The Wraith and the Dawn is on my list also!

  4. I love Evieʻs store! So many cute things!!

I totally should have added Bookcon and BEA to my list! We donʻt have any kind of Bookish things here and Iʻm dying to go to a bookish con. Iʻll definitely go one day!

  6. BookCon why did I forget about you!

But yes, move it to New York! Close enough that I can stay at a friends and get there cheap.

  7. BEA is moving back to NYC?! Yay! I only live 3.5 hours away. I was supposed to go last year, but my roomie cut out on me at the last minute and I didn't have enough money to pay for rooms by myself. I need Shadow and Bone to complete my hardcover trilogy. Book Outlet never has it, so I think I might end up buying it full price. I would love the entire Red Rising trilogy in HC, too. Those bookshelves are wonderful and I love the clothes pin style. It would be cute in a kitchen with cookbooks hanging on it. :)
